Approved 50% employment quota in federal agencies for domicile holders in Islamabad:
The 50 per cent quota for employment in federal institutions for domicile holders in Islamabad has been abolished. The 50 per cent quota will be applicable to posts in grades 1 to 15 in federal institutions. Punjab has fixed 50% overall employment quota in federal agencies for domicile holders.
On the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Establishment Division issued a notification. According to the notification, 50 per cent quota will be applicable to posts in grades 1 to 15 in federal institutions. A separate 3% quota has also been fixed for the next ten years for the districts of FATA.
In federal jobs, a quota of 2% has been set for Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 1% for Gilgit-Baltistan.
Another report said that Ali Nawaz Awan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for CDA Affairs, took historic steps for the people of Islamabad. The Special Assistant said that the promise made to the people of Islamabad in the 2018 elections was fulfilled and a quota of 50 per cent employment in federal agencies was approved for the domicile holders of Islamabad. On the directive of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Establishment Division issued a notification.
The Special Assistant said that in the history of Pakistan, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has fulfilled the long standing demand of the people of Islamabad by approving employment quotas for the residents of Islamabad. There will be a 50% employment quota for holders. In this regard, the efforts of the Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar and the full struggle of Raja Khurram Nawaz made my dream come true.
