More than 200 inmates at Lebanon's largest prison have reported cases of the corona virus. According to the French news agency, the head of the Lebanese Doctors' Union has warned the concerned authorities to start trials as soon as possible to reduce the crowd from the prisons.
Sharaf Abu Sharaf told the media that the corona virus has been confirmed in more than 200 inmates in Romai prison.
He said that prisoners were not implementing health SOPs which had led to an increase in corona cases. He demanded the concerned authorities to start trials as soon as possible to reduce the crowds from the jails so that the spread of the epidemic could be stopped. There are more than 4,000 prisoners in the Roman prison.
