Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat has said that the incident in the motorway rape case is being examined from different angles. The victim has undergone medical treatment. Evidence from the crime scene has been sent for forensics. To bring to the fore. Talking to the media on the occasion of his visit to the site, Punjab Law Minister Raja Basharat said that an inquiry committee has been constituted by the Punjab Chief Minister to probe the incident. The inquiry team is investigating the incident. A special committee has been constituted by IG Punjab Inam Ghani for the same purpose.


The provincial law minister said that more vehicles were being procured to improve police patrolling, as providing security to the citizens was the first responsibility of the government and he would propose to Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar to make the highways safer. On the other hand, it has been reported that 70 persons with criminal records have been shortlisted by the police in the motorway abuse case. SSP Zeeshan Asghar said that according to the Joint Investigation Team, all the persons are residents of the vicinity. After forensic and DNA reports, many things have become clear while there is also evidence that the accused came on foot for the incident and returned on foot. The footprints of the accused are being identified with the help of a detective. He said that justice would be provided to the victim in any case.
