According to the Omani government, international flights will be resumed from October 1, 2020. According to Gulf News, a meeting of the High Oversight Committee on Coronavirus was held during which it was decided that the ban on international flight operations in Oman would be lifted from October 1, 2020.


After which flights from different countries will be able to come to Oman and flights from Oman to other countries will also depart. However, flight operations are not being fully restored, but will be done in phases.


Initially, flights will be resumed from stations where the Corona epidemic has been largely contained. In addition, bilateral agreements will be signed with several airlines to ensure compliance with the Corona Guidelines.


It should be noted that international flights were suspended from March 2020 after the outbreak of Corona virus in Oman. Which have been suspended for almost six months. However, now the Omani government has announced the start of flight operations. The Omani government made the decision following a drop in Corona cases in the kingdom. In the last 24 hours, 262 new cases of corona have been reported in Oman. So far, the total number of corona patients has reached 87,072 while 82,406 people have recovered.
