As soon as former national captain Mohammad Yousuf got the post of batting coach at the National High Performance Center, the focus of his thinking changed. Instead of pointing fingers at the double role of chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq, he took a "U-turn" and said that everything he said was now a thing of the past.

According to Mohammad Yousuf, he has no problem working with Misbah-ul-Haq as his goal while serving separately under one umbrella is nothing but the betterment of Pakistan cricket. He was available for CB but some things kept coming in the way and now the board officials are trying to make positive efforts so he has decided to take over the post.

Appreciating the decisions of PCB chief executive Wasim Khan and appointments to various posts, Mohammad Yousuf said that the former cricketers attached to the board have excellent skills and they will be ready wherever they are asked to work and fulfill their responsibilities. He also termed the performance of the Pakistani team that won a T20 match on the English Tour as excellent and said that he has confidence in the performance of the national players as far as he can transfer his experience to them.
