Minister for Economic Affairs Khusro Bakhtiar told the National Assembly that the World Bank had provided $300 million for various projects with foreign aid of  $3.55 billion to deal with Corona.


Asian Development Bank gave $817 million including $350 million. The IMF gave $1.38 billion to support the budget, he said. Development Bank, Japan, China, USA, UK, Canada and South Korea have given $91.1million dollars, he said, adding that Pakistan has received $294 million in aid.


The government had expected the GDP rate of loans to be lower by the end of this fiscal, but the global debt was not due to the Corona Virus. According to the National Economic Survey, government debt reached 84.4 per cent of GDP by March 2020, the survey said, the government borrowed Rs 20.80 trillion for budget support during July to March, while the dollar was reduced to 5 trillion rupees.
