A meeting of the Public Accounts Committee of the Parliament was held under the chairmanship of Rana Tanveer on Wednesday in which the special audit report of Pakistan Super League One and Two was considered.
Chair PPAC explained why the special audit report of Pakistan Cricket Board did not come. The IPC secretary said that the audit department did not give us the working paper. Chairman PAC asked Chairman PCB to reply.

During the meeting, a special audit report of PSL One and Two was presented to the committee. Financial irregularities amounting to Rs 2.77 billion were revealed in PSL One and Two. The franchise was sold at a low price, the PCB lost 11 1.1 million a year, and the franchises of Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta were auctioned off at a low price.
Ehsan Mani said that the situation was difficult at that time. It was necessary to hold PSL. PPR rules do not apply to PCB. Naveed Qamar said that PCB will be independent but it is owned by the government. "The PCB says we don't take a penny from the government," the IPC secretary said. He said that at that time PPRA rules were not applicable on auction of teams. According to the audit report, the PCB paid the franchise owners more than the amount fixed by the Central Pool.
According to the audit report, the PCB paid an additional Rs 248.6 million to the franchise owners. The PAC directed a departmental inquiry into the PSL's financial irregularities. The Chairman PAC said that the Secretary IPC himself should investigate and report within a month. Noor Alam Khan said that if you don't think that there will be any theft in PCB then we will not catch it. Chairman PAC adjourned the meeting. Rana Tanveer Hussain said that he would review the audit objections after receiving the inquiry report.
