According to details, universities, colleges and schools across the country reopened after a six-month long shutdown due to the corona virus, while educational activities were resumed in more than 30,000 religious madrassas. In this phase, educational activities have been started in all the higher educational institutions of the ninth to twelfth and above classes with SOPs from Corona Rescue.
According to the rules and regulations issued by the government, it has been made mandatory for all teachers and students to wear masks while the management of educational institutions will ensure the availability of sanitizers at the entrances.
The number of students coming to the educational institutions on the first day was less than usual but the students were enthusiastic about the resumption of academic activities. Due to lack of accurate information, in some places even students of small classes returned to the educational institutions and were sent back.
It was further informed that an educational institution has been sealed after corona cases were reported in the federal capital. According to the National Command and Operations Center, 16 corona cases were reported in the institution during targeted testing after which the institution was sealed. Officials say that the educational institution will remain sealed till further orders. On the other hand, the district administration of Islamabad has started inspection in schools and colleges as soon as the educational institutions reopen.
The Assistant Commissioners on Monday inspected various schools for implementation of QSOPs. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqat said that strict action would be taken against the institutions which did not implement the SOPs and the schools were bound to fully implement the government directives. DC Islamabad said that strict action will be taken against educational institutions which do not implement SOPs. On the occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Wasim Khan said that all the Assistant Commissioners and other administrative staff were closely monitoring the schools and strict action would be taken against the negligent educational institutions. Wasim Khan said that the safety of children is the main priority and most important.
