Boat rally held in Karachi to celebrate Independence Day 2020:
A boat gathering held by Keamari in Manora on Friday (today) to celebrate Pakistan's Independence Day.
The federal minister of maritime affairs, Ali Zaidi, also attended the meeting. "I attended the boat rally for the first time and I loved it," said the minister.
More than 40 boats attended the Independence Day rally, which started from Keamari, reached Manora and then returned to Keamari.
Minister of Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi expressed his disappointment at the piles of garbage at the port of Karachi. "I have seen several ports around the world but I have not seen the garbage in this volume," Zaidi exclaimed.
Earlier, speaking to the media at the Quaid-e-Azam mausoleum here, Ali Zaidi said Pakistan is moving forward with the prime minister's policies and the country's economic conditions are improving.
"The prime minister's smart lockdown policy has helped control the coronavirus," he said.
"It was the responsibility of the political government to seek a solution to the civic problems in Karachi, but sadly it didn't happen," he said.
