In India, about 98,000 new cases of corona virus were reported in a 24-hour period and the total death toll rose to about 84,000 after 1,132 more deaths, while the number of cases of covid-19 has crossed 5.1 million.
In the last 24 hours, 97,894 new cases were registered across the country, killing a total of 5,118,253 and another 1,132, leaving 83,198 dead so far, the Indian Ministry of Health said in a statement. The ministry said that 4,025,079 patients have recovered in the country, after which the country now has 1,009,976 active cases.
